How to Create a Google Review Link & QR Code
Create a direct Google review link or QR code from your Business Profile and use it in customer follow-up.
Create the direct review link
Open the Business Profile, go to the reviews area and use the Get more reviews option. Google provides a shareable link that opens the review experience. Copy that link into follow-up messages, receipts or other customer communications.
Download the QR code
The same Google workflow exposes a QR code that can be downloaded and used on printed material. This is useful at physical locations, checkout counters, table tents, leave-behind cards and invoices where scanning is easier than typing a URL.
Where to use the link
SMS and email are the obvious placements, but the link can also appear on a post-service thank-you page, digital receipt or customer portal. The request should be contextual and recognizable so the customer understands why the link was sent.
Where to use the QR code
Use QR codes where customers have already completed an experience and have a moment to respond. Avoid creating pressure at the point of sale or rewarding customers for scanning and reviewing. The QR code is a convenience tool, not a rating filter.
Connect the link to automation
Once the direct link is stable, place it inside the review-request template in your CRM or reputation platform. Test the workflow on mobile devices and verify that staff know when the automated request will fire.
Frequently asked questions
Does Google generate a review QR code?
Yes. Google Business Profile currently provides a QR code in the Get more reviews workflow.
Can I print the QR code on receipts?
Yes, provided the request remains a genuine, non-incentivized invitation for feedback.
Should the link go through a survey first?
Avoid using an intermediate flow to selectively send only happy customers to Google. A direct, consistent request is simpler and safer.
